“The Center for Election Confidence is pleased with the 6th Circuit’s common-sense decision in Red Wine & Blue v LaRose to permit Ohio to enforce its long-standing proof-of-citizenship requirements for voter registration during the appeals process.
As the Court recognized, changing the rules this late in the election process would create substantial administrative burdens and increase the likelihood of mistakes.

Voters’ confidence in elections is based on important pillars of predictability, consistency, and understandability. An election in which congressional maps seem to change every day—and in which different maps will apparently apply for the general election than did for the primary election—meets none of those requirements.
“American elections are for American citizens only. Period.
“We should all support Arizona ensuring non-citizens can’t register to vote and removing any non-citizens who end up on the voter lists. It’s the law, and it’s common sense.
“The Center for Election Confidence looks forward to the Supreme Court allowing Arizona and other states to protect the integrity of American elections.”
Non-citizens have no business voting in American elections. The fact that nearly 400 non-citizens cast ballots without question in New Jersey is a five-alarm fire. But what’s even more troubling is that all of those registered specifically told New Jersey they weren’t eligible to vote, yet New Jersey registered them anyway.
CEC is disappointed by the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision today in Watson v. RNC to preserve state late-ballot-receipt practices that have the primary effect of sowing distrust in election processes and outcomes.
CEC Executive Director Lisa Dixon presented on the key election integrity case, Watson v. RNC, at today’s Federalist Society A Seat at the Sitting panel discussion.

“This is a significant pick-up all of us fighting for election confidence,” said Dixon. “It is critical for minority voters to understand the truth about Ranked-Choice Voting and this is a good start,” said Dixon. “Progressives, who for years have championed minority voting rights, are now advocating for a voter scheme which has been shown to disproportionately hurt minority voters.”
