the U.S. Election Assistance Commission

“Commissioner Don Palmer has been a force for good during his time at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Few can rival his dedication to voter confidence, election integrity, and administrative professionalism.

“Don has helped to guide the American election systems through some of the tensest seasons in recent memory and leaves behind long-lasting achievements, such as version 2.0 of the VVSG voting equipment certification program, the development and introduction of the ESTEP poll book testing and certification framework, and a renewed focus on ensuring election officials from jurisdictions of all sizes and from all 56 States and territories have a seat at the table.
